A Cups (Short Fiction)
Short stories, scenes, snippets—all the smaller forms of lavender prose I dare expose.
I find as I dig out these old bits and bobs (some of them from the ’80’s—Yikes!), a few want a second life. Rewrites, revisions—some scenes even want to be expanded into full stories. Cheeky little devils.
Of course, my perspective has changed since I first wrote these. Life lessons and reversals of fortune, and experience add a lot more to a mature writer’s grasp of character and human nature. Okay, that’s a snooty way of saying I was young and naive when I wrote a lot of these. Not that they can’t hold water, just that the bucket might be a little different if I wrote them now.
Which I still might do.
And then, there’s the new stuff—fan fiction bourn of new TV and movie titillation.
Gosh darn it, this is fun!

I remember playing Uhura in 8th grade! You were always brilliant and passionate. I’m proud to know you. I Found your website by accident. If you don’t mind, I may give you a call the next time I’m visiting Marshalltown. Some of my fondest memories involve you, Janey . . . .and our theater productions.
