I think the last time I had L & O was 1969… but who is counting the years? It was one of my grandmother’s favorite meals. I think I read that spinach has a lot of iron also. Good luck.
The pulmonologist I saw last week could tell I was anemic by looking at my nail beds, which are scooped like a spoon instead of rounded like most people. They’ve been like that a long time, so it may be something other than needing supplements. He’s pretty convinced I don’t have asthma—that’s why he ordered more test to be sure. Gosh, it’s been years since I felt like I was talking to a real doctor.
I actually liked liver and onions – one of only 47 confirmed liver lovers on the planet. But I haven’t had it in years because the hubster and kids do not. Here’s to iron-rich blood for you soon!

It does. We ate pretty much every part of a cow on the farm growing up. *shudder* Some parts more edible than others.

Agreed, it can’t hurt … might actually help

I thought I’d get a head start on whatever treatment is prescribed.

I happen to love liver! I hope you get your iron levels up to par… there are quite a few favorable food sources to indulge in to boost your iron.

My sister loves it, too, but she reminded me that it’s high in cholesterol. There’s no easy answer to anything!
