I’ll never understand why, with all their fur, cats enjoy laying in the sunshine. They always look so at peace.

He is, mostly, but definitely the Alpha in the house. His minion, Emmett, knows to bow and step away from the food bowl when the King approacheth.

He’s the smartest, most companionable cat I’ve ever known–and I’ve surrounded myself with cats my whole life. How lucky we both were when we found each other at an animal shelter 12 years ago.
