I was born on April 19, 1948 two years after my sister was in 1946. I know, I know, not that unusual. I like it because a) when I have been resentful of her — for being “the good girl”, slim, nice, and easy to be around — the fact that I’ve had to think of her on our birthday has made me Recognize my ongoing (ridiculous) annoyance in the face of her unassuming kindness and ignorance of all my created BS; 2) Betty-Mom gave us lovely dual parties sometimes that were unforgettable, but we weren’t always, hardly ever, thought of as “a pair”; 3) I love that she damn near always sends me a Real birthday card with Real good wishes and encloses pressed herbs. Oh, did I mention that I was the pretty one, that I was the wonderful singer, that I was more memorable (of course, that manic energy!), that she has a congenital hearing impairment in one ear so school kids thought she was stuck-up, that she did the difficult decision to love as a step-mother, and that she has become a delightful and valued piano teacher in Wa State??? BTW, I do not believe that human beings’ superimposing patterns on stars indicates any such groupings of characteristics as Aries, etc. —- EXCEPT WHEN IT IS OBVIOUS !!! 😉 I will be at the Grand Canyon South Rim with my cousin in Arizona on my Birth Day — check it off my Bucket List !
