EEuww! (Post-Op Day 2)

I took the bandage off my surgical incision this morning.  Yikes!  I will not be posting photos.

Even being a nurse doesn’t really prepare a person for the Frankenstein display of staples running crookedly around the body, the skin puckered and lumpy in some places, tight and warped in others.

Oh, but the relief of a shower!  Even if I can’t reach everything, just washing my hair felt like heaven.  Tomorrow, my friend, Matt, the Super Stylist, will scrub my head and trim my hair—a little beauty to balance the Boris Karloff look I’m sporting now.

As for mood, I’m back to Set Point.  What a blessing to have Clear, Quiet Mind while healing from surgery.  It makes everything so much easier.

In the meantime, I’ve finished my Christmas cards and started working on a new bunch for The Perfect Setting.   And I continue to chip away at Callindathe Novel that Never Ends.

I’m on an Adventure.

Wait a minute – you finished your Christmas cards?? Already? You are officially my hero, and I hate you. (glad you’re healing nicely).

Thanks, Peg. I wasn’t sure how this year’s design would turn out or how much fussing I’d have to do with it, so I started early. I’m happy with the results (and will post a picture eventually).
